About

Sparda

Also known as the Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda is a demon who woke up to justice and waged war against the underworld 2,000 years ago, for the sake of the human race. He sealed the entrance to the underworld that the humans had created with the Temen-Ni-Gru, and went on to live quietly on Earth, where he met the human woman who would bear his twin sons, Eva.

Sparda is an unlockable playable character in all 4 games of the series. He is however never part of the main storyline of the games except as a ghost of his sons' past. The memory of his treason is still alive and well in the Underworld, and the wound it left behind it is still gaping...

Eva

Very little is known about the mother of Dante and Vergil, except for the fact that she was blonde, beautiful, and that she unfortunately died at the hands of demons, fueling both her sons' quests. She however surely deeply loved the demon/man she described several times to Dante as "having courage and a righteous heart" and as "a man who fought for the weak".

Eva is never featured in the games, except as a photograph clearly visible on Dante's desk in Devil May Cry 1.

Love

As both Sparda and Eva are never seen directly in the game, it is hard to determine the exact details of their relation. However, given that, according to Dante, Eva thought of Sparda as a courageous man with a good heart who fought for the weak, and that Sparda gave Eva the key to the demonic world as a gift, one can safely assume that they loved and trusted each other.

Fanlisting

A fanlisting is, to quote thefanlistings.org: "[...] simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country."
